Desks and tables get used every single day, so what's underneath matters as much as the finish. An old desk with proper drawers is usually a much nicer thing to sit at than a flat-pack replacement, and it's worth saving.

Each one is repaired and restored before it's finished by hand. Dressing tables, coffee tables and nests of tables are the same story — good bones under a finish that's simply gone out of fashion, given a second life rather than replaced.
